Meet Thomas – the adorable three-legged cat! You wouldn’t know it by looking at him, but this handsome young fellow had a very difficult start in life. In 2017 when he was just six months old, he was found injured on the side of the highway near Teulon, Manitoba. He was rescued by two very kind souls and taken to an animal shelter for help. Sadly, due to the extent of his injuries, Thomas required surgery to have one of his hind legs amputated, but animals are resilient creatures and he quickly regained his health and spirit. The loving care that he received from his foster family and shelter staff helped the young cat to learn to trust and his personality blossomed. Four weeks after his tragic ordeal, Thomas was adopted by someone in our One Link Family and today is living a very happy, full and slightly spoiled life.

Animal shelters and welfare organizations in Manitoba unfortunately see many cases like Thomas’ and some that are sadly much worse. Not all animals that find their way to these havens are injured, but they are all in need of help. We are big animal fans here One Link Mortgage & Financial and we would like to do our part to help as many as we can. With this in mind, we are very excited to announce the One Link Food & Toy Drive in support of animals in need! For the entire month of June, each of our 4 locations will be accepting items from the Dog & Cat WISH LIST below:
